I like these engine bars. They look good fitted and suit the bike, but they are tricky to fit for what they are. Although only three bolts per side, one of them is a (very) long bolt through the centre stand and exhaust mount. It's a very tight fit and needs to be drifted all the way out, so you need a very long drift. Also the bolt is re-used, so you can't be too rough with it to get it out. The spacers in the centre mount holes need to be in position when you offer the bars into place, as you can't get them into position afterwards, and they slip out of position easily, meaning it's a fiddly job to get all of the bolts lined up. It would be easy to strip a thread in the (top two) engine mount holes if they aren't absolutely spot on. Finally, you can't access this centre mounting hole with a socket drive, you'll need an open ended spanner, and even then it's difficult to get to, due to the size of spanner needed for a 17mm bolt. If you're patient, and take your time they are great once fitted, but don't expect a quick fit.Read full review

Bars are solid, have a good weight indicating good quality steel. They were easy to fit and I am very happy with them. There is a good clearance from the gear shift and they tuck in close to the bike. I did worry about the clearance before I purchased them , I worried for nothing. I would buy again and i highly recommend them to anyone looking for these type of bars. MT 09 . I hope this is helpful to someone else.

Look great now fitted but instructions need to be clearer for example, there is no mention that the lower bar fitting on the gear change side requires the removal of a long nut and bolt which requires a spanner at both ends and very long, flexible arms or another person to help. Other than that, I'm very pleased now there on the bike.

This screen is 69 cm from top to bottom the standard tracer screen is 48 cm, so this is a lot taller. It also a lot wider and is shaped to clear the handguards. It fits onto the Yamaha adjustable mountings on a fitting which moves it 5 cm further forward and can be raised about 4 cm from the lowest setting.I am 6ft 5 and dont have it on the highest position All the fittings are supplied and the instructions are easy to follow. It may not be considered as stylish as the factory original screen but is far more effective. It has a warning sticker about use over 80km in strong winds so far I havnt had a problem. I bought it after looking a various makes it is probably the tallest on the market, but reasoned that if it was too tall I could always cut it down from the top. See youtube re cutting plastic/perspex motorcycle screens. At around £100 its well made and good value. Hope you find this usefulRead full review

Been thinking about fitting a touring screen since I bought my bike but didn't really want to spoil the look. Lived with the standard screen for 2500 miles but decided it just had to go. Went for the Givi as it looked good and I knew I could depend on the quality based on other products bought. Piece of cake to fit and it is superb. Looks great and has totally transformed my bike. If anyone is thinking about a touring screen for their Tracer I would recommend this one 100%..

The bars are great, usual Givi quality. I have read reviews saying that they don't line up with the mounting points, are difficult to fit, etc etc - I found them to be well and accurately engineered, so they went on fine, in about an hour or less. They look good, with an excellent finish, and make the bike look a bit rugged (though a bit BMW GS ish...) I intend to fit daytime running lights and these seemed the best way of mounting them. However, the instructions are the usual Givi quality, ie scant and crap. The tools listed are no way sufficient, you' ll need a few spanners sockets and hex wrenches as well as a willing volunteer to help you with the nut on the other end of the bolt for the lower mount on the left side - this bolt runs the whole width of the bike so impossible to remove unless you have arms like a gibbon. Also no mention of torqueing up the bolts (fairly crucially holding the engine to the frame!) after fitting... So you'll need the Haynes manual too. The best way to fit seems to be to start with the middle mount on each side; loosely screw in the bolt and spacer, slot on the bar and then locate the front and lower mounts. Bolt them in and then tighten it all up. Repeat on other side.Read full review

Givi crash bars, these are a great fit , keeping close to the engine so are not too obtrusive, good quality whilst offering protection to your pride and joy should you need it.

My husband had been looking for this product for a while he had seen it on another motorbike and liked the look of it. so he asked me to order it for him and expected it to be a few days wait. what a surprise when it was delivered two days later what wonderful service, he fitted them within the hour and was off testing soon after. no problems fitting and he is as happy as a biker can be. many thanks.

Look smart and are fairly easy to fit. Instructions aren't the best but you get the idea. However it would b impossible to fit it just using the tools it states are required.. like most products...

This fit my mt tracer 09, 2017 plate. Only problem was the instructions being in german. So 4 out of 5 stars from me.
