Easy to repair
This is actually one of the easiest iPods to repair. all you need to replace the hard drive is a pry tool or two. The battery is also easy to replace, requiring the removal of only one or two screws. Mine worked great after I replaced the hard drive.Verified purchase: Yes

Unlisted system requirements frustrate efforts to get up and running.
To get this up and going with a Windows PC, you need to "restore" it on iTunes and then plug into a specifically Apple brand charger. So beg, borrow or steal a friend's iphone charger or buy a $20 charger from Apple and not one of the knock-offs at retail chain-store sites. Only genuine Apple finishes the restore process. Mine also has a B&W screen from an older model iPod than its clickwheel body. A Frankenpod creation.

Good old iPod still works and sounds great.

Just as the factory installed one

Very Pleased Great Quality Buy for Me!!
I like these iPod Classics and would rather use these in the car and on the sailboat than my phone with "the Cloud" or tying up my phone for music. I would lose reception using the the cloud for music and then lose the song. it was a complete joke.
