Broke during installation
Poor quality casting and finish on the camshaft that was delivered to me. It snapped clean in two during installation before it was even bolted down; examination showed a huge flaw in the casting and poor quality metal. I took mine to an engine specialist and was told that it hadn’t even been properly stress relieved after casting. I was supplied with a replacement locally and the difference was immediately obvious even at first glance - properly shot peeled to relieve casting stresses and a higher quality machined finish. Don’t waste your money - go to a local motor factor, spend a few more pounds and get peace of mind.
