  • Excellent repair parts kit!

Excellent repair parts kit for our Raynor chain-drive garage door opener. There were even instructions included for replacing the parts! I disassembled the opener, installed the replacement parts, reassembled the opener, and reinstalled it in the garage, and it worked great the first time! Much cheaper than a new garage door opener or a service call!

  • GREAT PRODUCT

THANKS a lot Mark. The gear set is just like you described, it fits perfectly. My 20 year old garage door opener is like new again. I am a car mechanic, and I know ball bearings don't usually go bad, unless they have 100k miles on them and get beat up by bad roads, severe weather, road salt and corrosion. None of this will happen inside an opener, its safe up in the ceiling. And in no way in a lifetime are you going to put 100k miles on an opener from going up and down LOL. So this product should last forever!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • You can't go wrong

I purchased this replacement gear set on a wing and a prayer. I couldn't find my particular model number/brand anywhere, but some of the other manufacturers numbers were similar. I thought "for the price, I can take a chance". Turned out great! The exact pieces I needed and the instructions are very well done. I would recommend this to anyone with some mechanical knowledge. It only took about 45 minutes and I was back in business! Great product, great price, what more could you want?

  • Extended the life of Garage Door opener at a fraction of the cost

My garage door opener chain was sagging so I bought this new drive to repair it. Fortunately, I had lots of time to take the opener apart to install this new part. It took about an hour to take it apart and reassemble it. The Parts seem to be of top quality. The door now operates as it used to work. I think it work work well until I sell the house!

  • Easy Repair for Liftmaster Garage Door Openers

My door stopped going up. When I checked it out the motor would run but the drive gear would not move. So I looked online for the fix. After watching a couple of videos I pulled the cover off the unit and sure enough the work gear had completely ground off the teeth of the drive gear. I assume they are made of nylon to be more quiet and to be sacrificial. Anyway the job of replacing the the gear set is very easy and takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Before you begin watch a couple of Youtube videos to see the best way to go about the repair. Then just do it! The gear set is less the $10.00 bucks. The cost of a new opener id $200.00 I found the gears set to be the same quality and material as what came out of it. Be sure to take the time to grease all bearing surfaces and the gears themselves so you will get a good long life from your repair.

  • If you have a garage opener that started motoring but the door does not move, this is the repair kit

I opted for the complete repair kit vs the gear and grease version. I have a garage door opener that is about 25 years old and it's a craftsman. The symptoms were a few days before it failed I noticed the chain was loose. I tightened it, worked fine. Then a few days later, motor and no movement. I then tried to manually help the door and it would grab with assistance but only fora few inches. I went to the "tube" and learned how to do the repair. The main shaft gear is the culprit in most repairs and mine didn't look as bad as the videos but still had failed. I had the shredded plastic chips in the interior of the motor area. Most of the kit you will probably not need. I didn't want to mess with punching out the pin and replacing the gear for a few dollars. It comes with anything you might find wrong. If the other items require replacing you probably will have to take the unit down in the garage. Overall the repair took about an hour. The up and down limit switches are critical you center the door and then the switch range about equal and then tweak them to get the right up and down range on the door. Repair first time was done about an hour long. I hope I get another 20 years of the garage door working without issue.

  • Easy to install and a great value.

This is a great product. Not super easy but not hard to install and it works great. I saved a bunch doing it myself and didn't have to wait all day for a tech to come to the house. I looked up how to install on Youtube, there are some really good videos, plus this is the whole assembly so you don't even have to change out the stripped gear, it's already on there. If I can do it anyone can because I have never done anything like it before. You need an 8mm wrench to get the screws out of the top of the assembly. Just make sure you have it before you start so you don't have to run all over trying to find one the last minute like I did. The socket wrench bottomed out with the back screw so you will need the wrench. You have to take the chain off so make sure you have the rest of your wrenches on hand plus a screw driver. Oh and one piece of advice, when you put in the new assembly make sure that the holes are in the right spot to put the cover piece back over the chain, nobody mentioned that in the videos. Good luck :)

  • Did not have to buy whole new unit!

Parts package had all correct parts for a Chamberlain Model 4200 made in 1999. After viewing a video on You Tube (the 45 minute one) how to change out the gears and sprocket ordered kit. It took longer than the 45 minutes the pro needed. But, original sprocket gears were shredded inside cover. Parts package did have instructions but wrote notes from video and did not use instructions included. Parts fit exactly as should (and grease included) the door went up and down great after adjustments. Would view You Tube video and make notes before attempting to remove motor and see why grease is needed. $20 saved replacing whole unit!
