Less costly than a new auto-wind reel!
I have now tested the newly installed valve kit assembly, and it is perfect for my older Suncast auto rewind reel. The only variation in the installation for me was that my reel had a retention half- collar that I had to remove before removing the old assembly. Otherwise, instructions were easy to follow. Works but leaks slightly. Hence the 3 star
My valve kit got tighter and tighter to shift and eventually the handle broke. This replacement part is a good solution to get the hose reel functioning back. Two issues I had were 1. Inlet water hose doesn't fit snugly to the connector on the replacement valve kit. I tried different things and still a thin line of water sprays out of the joint. Waste of water. I went back and tried the original valve kit and it doesn't have this problem. Hence 3 star. 2. Instructions were very poor. But in the internet world, it wasn't a big issue. Excellant replacement
I bought this for a replacement valve as my handle had broken off. I do think as a courtesy to people using this valve the handle could use a little more reinforcement. I filled all the open cavities on this one with hot glue and sealed them to prevent leakage from the suns heat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
