Unlike the Polytek Easyflo range this resin does not cure with an oily finish making it more suitable for casts which are to be painted or gilded. Before use, be sure that Parts A and B are at room temperature and tools and moulds or models are ready to go.

Product Information

Polycraft Sg2000 contains the two components that are mixed together to make rigid polyurethane plastic castings. This two-part liquid plastic resin casts quickly, making it ideal for artists, hobbyists, prototype designers, and others who need bespoke moulded plastic components. This product is easy to use, provided that you follow all of the instructions that are printed directly on both the 1 kg containers of Polyol and Isocyanate.

Quality resin that's extremely easy to use.
Quality resin that's extremely easy to use. Sets to an opaque white finish that takes acrylic paint really well. Little to no odor. You have to work quickly, the set time really is about 3 minutes. If you need longer they do have another resin with a longer open time. The cast will be ready to de-mold in about 50 minutes. At a room temperature of 20-22 degrees, a cast rate of one pour and de-mold per hour is easily achievable from silicone molds. The set resin is quite hard, it can also be a little brittle in very thin cast areas. If you need flexibility in your finished product, this may not be the product for you. I use it for casting original 28mm scenery, such as dry stone walls in silicone molds.

Short demolding time and low viscousity means that it is ideal when casting intricate items in larger quantities Only criticism is that pouring from the original container is a little tricky and some form of non-drip addition to the spout could be a welcome addition
