Best anime to get to date.
A masterpiece of an anime based on a 90's manga that is the pinnacle of thriller anime that doesn't make gore its priority and the only interesting aspect of the story.

Wish it was cheaper, but a fantastic buy
I bought this show solely on the recommendation of one of my favorite YouTubers (if you know, you know). Totally worth it. Shiki has a dark story that engrosses viewers from the first episode and keeps them along for the ride the whole time. My only issue with the show is its weird tonal shifts at times. You can spend one second watching one of the most gut-wrenching scenes you've ever seen in an anime and then spend the next second finding out a local funeral home director is a discount Willy Wonka who runs services like Vegas shows. It's hard to watch this show since it seems to be in some kind of licensing limbo, but if you're willing to dish out some cash, it has my endorsement (for what that's worth).
