Good electric Ryobi trimmer, lightweight and well balanced. Very powerful!
I received a slightly different product than I ordered, but it is pretty much the same thing. It was missing a handle, but I found one that works OK. It also has a smaller battery that it was supposed to have. I used it with the trimmer it came with. it worked great on the low setting. I switched to the expand-it edger attachment I use with Ryobi gas trimmers. This was the big feature that drew me to this trimmer. I do not lose the investment in all the attachments I have accumulated over the years. I think this trimmer works better with the edger attachment than the gas trimmer. I did my whole yard and I was only down to 2 battery lights - pretty good. No rope pulling aerobics at the start of the job either! I was still wearing my hearing protectors and people thought that was nuts with an electric trimmer. Some habits are just hard to break!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Do not knock it because it really does a very good job of shredding grass and weeds.
I really do like this Ryoibi 40 volt cordless string trimmer just as I do the Ryobi 40 volt cordless pole saw and Ryobi 40 volt cordless chain saw. Good power product
The product is great. Yet due to my height (5'7"), not consider as tall, I have to add a shoulder string to the trimmer for easy control and release the load to the hands and arms since I have a 7000 sq ft relatively big lot. The high and low switch (Power output) makes it even easier than just controlling the switch paddle. Strong and quiet - battery life great
Plenty of power even on the lo setting. Straight shaft gives better control over a curved shaft and the bump to feed head works well. I was concerned about the weight of the unit but really isn't that much different from my old gas trimmer. and a LOT less vibration and noise. The balancing point for the handle is right where i need it for comfortable use and the battery life for a medium sized lot (front walkway, driveway walk up to front door and back yard retaining wall base) was just over a single bar of use. Very good trimmer for the average home owner.
