After breaking my Edwin Jagger DE89 by dropping it in the sink l decided on a change. I went for the Cutlass because l liked the look to be honest. In the flesh it didn't disappoint, very nice feel and look. I loaded up my standard fair of blade, a feather, and got busy with the shaving gel. After the first pass l knew this razor was not for my skin. I would say it is very aggressive and cuts the top of any slight imperfection on the skin, leaving a massacre of open cuts and dripping blood. Shaving around the lower part of my neck was complete agony. Nice razor to look at but not for my skin.

I know I am a beginner at de shaving being a Braun man all my life but I thought I'd get a couple of scary razors with my first 3. The Mule R41 is nothing to this, The Bluebeard has so much blade exposed you'll need to be a tough old pirate to handle this one. it won't beat me and master it I will someday. For now it's the Gillette Tech in 1940s and 1950s version. If you have a heavy beard and want to slash some hairs this one is for you.
