Brasso is a well known product. Pros are that it will remove any amount of tarnish, it’s not a liquid, so doesn’t drip or get wasted, it’s easy to tear off the amount needed, and it’s in a sweet retro tin. Cons are that it takes a lot of effort to remove stubborn tarnish, fingers and thumbs are stained black by the liquid produced as the tarnish is broken down (rubber gloves soon tear), the smell’s not great and the wadding quickly dries out if the lid’s not securely replaced, becoming uselessVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

For one use only
This is not a tin of wax like i thought it would be. It's simply some thin brittle cotton wool covered with a bit of ready made brasso solution on it. It breaks into a tiny pieces as soon as you try use it. I tried polish a few items with it, and it broke into brittle pieces straight away, it's cotton wool like i said. It's extremely hard to use and only for one use only. I had to throw it in the bin after i polished just one pot. So it's for single use only. Not at all what i thought it would be. Poor quality product, as it's in the bin as soon as you use it. You can't reuse this. I certainly wouldn't buy this product ever again!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A gentle, non-abrasive polish for metals.
It stays usable for a long time, if the lid (which fits really tightly) is put back on as soon as possible. It is good for removing small scratches from many types of plastic, especially those like "Perspex" (AKA Polymethyl methacrylate or "Acrylic") and "polycarbonate") if rubbed up and down in ONE direction only, rather than in circles. An old product that has been around for since I was a child and I am mid eighties, therefore it does not have anything to prove.

I purchased a tin of this product to apply a finishing touch to some copper pipework I had recently installed. It brought the new pipework a treat and now looks really eye catching when you open the boiler cupboard door.
