Very close to laptop look and feel. Accurate and responsive.

It's very close to Lenovo laptop keyboards, not the same but close enough. The keys are not exactly silent, but the layout is identical to say t460s model. If you are fast touch-typist and you got used to lenovo track-point this is excellent substitute and a perfect for your desktop setup. I would always choose USB over Bluetooth for the connectivity reasons. No issues with this one there. The things I didn't quite like is micro usb at the back, and the scroll driver which occasionally stopped working in VisualStudio. I think I will buy another one. Overall it's a good keyboard.

Nice, but not all it could be.

If you are trying to use your ThinkPad as a desktop machine, you'll naturally be attracted to this product, as it allows the computer to be remotely located, and yet allows you to use the TrackPoint mouse that you're used to. Unfortunately, you'll be making errors constantly, because the layout of the keyboard differs significantly from the ones found on laptops such as the X200. Some of the keys that aren't 'where the should be' include Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down. This may be a big deal for some users, as these keys in their normal locations serve as cursor movement tools in some programs, with the cursor movement direction corresponding to their normal locations. Lastly, the 'feel' of the keyboard is not the same as the one on the laptop, totally different tactile experience. Truly I wish they had simply put the laptop's keyboard in a remote USB enclosure. Well, until then, this will have to do, and is better than nothing!

  • lenovo keyboard design

I like the keyboard. I'm used to using the technology and layout in my work issued laptop. I needed a small keyboard to fit my home PC setup which has a pressure sensitive tablet that takes up a lot of the desk. This keyboard was exactly what I was looking for. The 4 star is because one leg broke when it got knocked off the desk. I made a new support from an angled block of wood. With that in place the keyboard is back in operation.

  • A nice small keyboard with a trackpoint!

I really like the trackpoint better than glide-pads. And Lenovo always has great build quality. NOTE that this is a small keyboard with limited-travel keys (like a laptop keyboard).

  • Overall very satisfied with the product. Original island-style robust Thinkpad keyboard with trackpoint.

Original island-style Thinkpad keyboard with trackpoint. Good solution for those who don't like to use touchpad and for those who are not missing "old style" Thinkpad keyboard which disappeared with x220 Trackpoint allows not to move the hands away from keyboard when the mouse moves are needed. And obviously Thinkpad trackpoints are the best on the market. Keystrokes are stable and "clicky" enough for daily usage, especially if you are not a big fan of the Apple "butterfly" solution. Overall very satisfied with the product. Good and robust keyboard with the mouse moving option, which allows to move the mouse without moving your hands away from keyboard (unlike touchpad or mouse). Typing experience is very pleasant as well. Of course if you're not bonded to mechanical keyboards.

  • Just like using a Thinkpad laptop keyboard.

Super convenient for my space constrained server area.

  • Great never style Lenovo mobile keyboard.

Only drawback is Lenovos love for swapping Fn and Ctrl. Also, the arrow keys are too narrow for an external keyboard but these are personal preferences. Feel is not classic ThinkPad and the USB port is very fragile and eventually broke.
