My new favorite cartridge.
I bought this to see how it compared with my Jico tipped Shure M91ED. Having it pre-mounted in the very light head shell was certainly convenient--I had to adjust the overhang, but that was easy. Also, I had to add a penny to the top of the head shell to be able to balance my tone arm, but again that was easy. The main thing I like about this cartridge though is its sound, and after some hours of break-in I find it to be very musical, very clean, very dynamic and able to play at higher volumes while retaining all those qualities. The generic stylus is working just fine to my ears and I have no desire to replace it with an OM20 stylus as many recommend with the 10. All things considered, this is a steal at this price IMHO. Very happy.

Excellent Cartridge. Great replacement
I had to replace a155 cartridge on a used Dual cs505-1. I already had aCS505-2 and I wanted to use thw -1 to fix the -2. The -1 was in better shape so I used the -1 and bought a replacment carrier and the OM 10 and fitted it to the arm. What a fantastic sound. Better than the original 155 and 165 cartridges in the two turntables. Also much better than a Denon turntable , my latest acquisition in the other room.Hmm may have to upgrade the Denon as well.

Excellent cartridge for the money.
Dusted off my Technics SL-D2 turntable and was looking for an affordable cartridge and stylus. Saw this Ortofon OM 10 cartridge with stylus and headshell for under 50 dollars.
