Wasn't sure if this could handle the big logs that we had left unspilt for over two years - we had tried to split with a 5lb maul to no avail. This machine just splits them like a knife through butter. It had stalled once, but this was on a branch junction on a huge log. I would not hesitate in recommending this splitter.
