Purchased two of these. They are workzone branded and have had really good reviews on the internet. Hard to believe they can turn these out so cheap at suck a great quality. Seems a very solid compressor and initial thoughts are good. Nothing cheap or rattley on them. These are going elsewhere at 120 each. Air filter a bit fiddly to get to thread properly. Other than that great!!

If you don't know your way around a set of spanners, spend the extra £20 and get something that hasn't been refurbished by monkeys. If you do know your way around a set of spanners, check every nut and bolt on the machine, and have some jb weld or other metal epoxy on hand. The motor bolts on mine came loose and I couldn't separate the motor from the pump to repair the threads so they're glued in now. It also has a slight leak that I can't cure without stripping the whole thing down but it's not enough to bother me. I bought this because I wanted something cheap and quick, next time I'll spend more. I've already spent the £20 I saved in wasted time fixing a new machine.

The refurbished ALDI Workzone compressor arrived quicker than expected. Having assembled the wheels and air filter, I noticed that there was no oil at all showing in the reservoir level glass, so I had to go and buy a litre bottle of oil before I was able to fire it up and test it. When it was initially plugged in it would not start even though the red on/off button was up. I noticed that the tank was pressurised already, so I vented it to below the 6 bar cut in limit. Still wouldn't start. I eventually realised that the safety cut out switch had popped out. Once this was pushed in, the compressor motor started straight away and stopped at the 8 bar cut out limit. This is not a commercial unit by any means, but more of a DIY home man cave unit. Hopefully this will be man enough for blowing up tyres, a bit of sand blasting and light impact driver use. Time will tell. Would of had 5 stars if it had come with the oil to use straight away.Read full review

So first things first the device i received was a refurbished WORK ZONE air compressor which was originally sold by Aldi. At first i was a little sceptical at the price they were asking for the spec etc. How ever after receiving and testing/using the device i am more than happy, the air compressor builds up to the point you choose fairly fast and holds it well. Only thing i would say is that when i received the air compressor it still had compressed air sitting inside it which could potentially be very dangerous but otherwise all good.

Well, what can I say? At first I thought I had grabbed a bargain air compressor that was ideal for my needs in low psi electrostatic DIY powder coating. Everything was going great until the compressor gave out and died. In total this air compressor only had about 3-4 hours worth of usage over a 3 day period. I now have a big blue metal tank on wheels with a dead compressor unit stuck on top. Perhaps I can use it as a door stop or coffee table?
