Recently bought this and first impressions are good. I was a little nervous buying it but saw good reviews. I use esab and kemppi welders at work. For me at home this welder has been ideal and a great price and welds ok, obviously can't compare to the esab or kemppi but the cost difference this has been perfect for me at home for the use. The welder looks ok quality. The only thing I can say negative is the leads are quite short and the tig torch is a little cheap. I know it states the length when you buy it. I have put longer cables and different torch as I had them to improve it. But the one that comes with it works fine etc.

Brilliant welder for the price, Used 3.2 ms rods, Brilliant weld, used 2.5 316L stainless rods to weld stainless, BRILLIANT weld. Never got welds like these in 15 odd years with clarke 210 turbo AC welder. HIGHLY recommended. you won't go back to AC after using an inverter.

It is well made and simple to operate. I am a newcomer to TIG welding and I found that it did everything in the way that I expected, the controls are simple and effective. The HF start is a particular help to a beginner.

I’m really happy with mine I only tig weld with it in my shed at home but I’ve done a lot with it and it performs well. I use Kempy / tig tronic and some other big brands of welders at work and this little set is really impressive for its size and price. I definitely recommend.

When receiving this product, and should you never have owned a DC inverter before, you will find the following missing: How to assemble the Torch. The type of Tungsten rod that fits into the Torch for the material you wish to weld ... this is colour coded. Start with Code Red. These are Thoriated Tungsten rods and are slightly radioactive and you should not breathe in the dust when using a grindstone to shape them to a point or round nose. A special grindstone is required, one suitable for Tungsten Carbide or machine tool steel. There will be no gas, but you will need 100% Argon, with a pressure gauge. Together they cost about £32. You will need filler rods that come in many diametres, start with the smallest.. Do not attempt to weld Aluminium with this converter. Aluminium requires AC, not DC. You are buying an inverter, but won't be able to use it, if you've never done welding before. Do some research, watch YouTube clips and know what you are about to buy. There are no assembly instructions for the Torch and it won't be intuitive ... you must find this on YouTube. The connections are obvious and well-labelled. You start the weld by dabbing the job or scratching lift the torch away as soon as it sparks. if you are a beginner, you will probably get the torch stuck. If this happends, you will need to clean the end and grind it all over again, otherwise it will remain contaminated and give a poor result. Good luck Read full review
