It is a very nice looking cable and sure it works under normal circumstances, but it never worked out because it is not suitable for a music interface I.e. Apogee duet, does not send and receive neither recognise the same signal info as thunderbolt FireWire. Handy for a spare glitzy cable though.

USB encoding is completely different to firewire so it simply doesn't work Buy a firewire expansion instead because they actually work
