This is a great tool to make soups and stews. I start cooking in the pot and the thermal pot complete the cooking while I am away. It keeps the temperature very hot for about 3 hours. I use this so much that I bought a second Tamaya thermal cooker. As soon as the food is boiling, I take it off the burner and let it slow cook for 5 or 6 hours.
