Great Product, it works!
I had used the previous generation Battery Tender on my old truck that sits in a shed and is seldom used. It is a 6V system so I need all the juice I can get. It always did a good job keeping the battery up to snuff and preserving its life. The doors were torn off the shed by the last hurricane and the BT was blasted with storm water. The unit was many years old then and still lasted an additional two years. No question I would replace it with the latest iteration of the Battery Tender product. Great charger that makes your batteries last longer!
I have several of these and have attached one in each of the cars. The reason is, that on new cars, the battery doesn't get charged on short hops for shopping when you start and shut down a few times. With these in the cars, I just plug them into the extension cord when I get back into the garage. This gets me up to five years on my batteries. I've had this charger hooked up to my Honda GL1100 for 3 weeks and it keeps the battery at 12.9 volts. The only thing i don't like about it is that it will not charge a dead battery. It claims the battery is defective when actually is isn't. I have to use a different charger when the battery voltage is below 9 volts.After the battery charges awhile i can connect the tender and it will take over and charge the battery. It charges in stages and i can see where it will increase the life of a battery. It doesn't kick on and off like other maintainers it holds the battery at a constant 12.9 volts.It does a great job maintaining an unused battery for long periods so i am giving it 5 stars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great to keep a car battery charged when the car isn't driven much
I bought this battery tender to keep my car battery charged over the winter when the car (Nissan Rogue) is not being driven very often. It is very easy to hook up, and it is compact and doesn't take up much space. The indicator lights show whether the battery is charging or fully charged. You can leave it connected long term and easily disconnect it when you want to drive the car. My car starts right up now after being left in a cold garage for long periods of time.
