Great product at a fair price
Bought this to add export & import power measurement data to my SolarEdge 3800 hd inverter. Everything I could find this is exactly the same thing as The SE originals just without the solar edge sticker on the front :) item came in a sun power box. The only thing missing was installation manual which is why I’m nocked off one star. Installation is quick and straightforward requireing about 20 minutes in the panel box most of which is opening up a new knock out and running the network wire. My power meter had a manufacture date of 2015 but worked fine with my inverter. I used a shielded cat5e cable and a 100+ foot run to my inverter and the data is fast and accurate. A second reason for nocking off the star is the fact that in my particular installation stickers and the ct clamps were on the wrong side of the clamp and I had to open up the pannel and reinstall the clamps backwards to get my data correct, minor issue but annoying. It would’ve been much faster if I had realized that the lights on the box will blink read if you are exporting power and blink green if you are importing power so check that before you button up the panel box. Just what I needed
Purchased this as an alternative to the SolarEdge branded consumption meters, one of which appears to identical to this product. Installation was easy, though I had to reverse the A and B wires in the communication circuit to establish comms with the inverter. I also had to establish a hard wire connection between my two inverters to see total production even though both are connected to LAN. So it took a few tweaks and tries to get things rolling, but now I have cool multicolor graphs showing my solar energy production, self consumption, and delivery of energy to and from the grid.
