Poorly built, cheap materials used in the wrong places.
I purchased one of these a few weeks ago, and for the first 3 time it was used( Sunday only) it was fine.
On the fourth time I noticed it seemed to be revolving slower, although the motor was not.
Fifth time I used it, the drum kept stopping, until it got to the point it would not turn, even with 3 small potatoes in it.
Iwas going to return it, but as it had been some 4 weeks since purchase, I decided it wasnt worth it, as I would at best, only get another one the same.
I stripped it down, and discovered the intermediate cog of the drive mechanism was moving around in its bearing, which was not of any quality. This resulted in the final drive cog not engaging with it, thus the reason for the failure. I concluded that it was due to poor quality bearings, and also cogs.
