A Breath of fresh air
I am really pleased with this little machine, it does what it says on the tin. My hall thats were i positioned it is so fresh every one remarks on how clean and welcoming it makes things. However i do have to complain about one thing and that is that i have found it can make my hall quite cold especilly in the evening when it gets quite nippy. The way i deal with this problem is to simply turn it off. I usr the sented oils in it and this makes not only my hall smell lovely but the stairs and bedrooms smell nice too. All in all a pretty good machine for the money, could you look at providing a glass bowl i would be quite happy to pay extra for this, its just the plastic looks and feels cheap. Too noisy
Two things wrong with this unit. 1. There is no switch to turn the unit on or off. There is a switch to turn the colour changing LED on or off only. 2. It's far too noisy. Given the noise level, you really don't want it turned on when you are in a quiet room, so you want to turn the unit off, but you can't turn it off because there is no switch, you have to unplug it. There are other models of water based air purifiers which are a lot quieter and about the same price or cheaper. In my experience the problem with all these types of device is the quality of the motors, they eventually wear out and either stop working all together, or the noise level dramatically increases.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simple to use, reliable, effective and very good value for money!
I've just received the 2nd one of these. I decided to replace the first one, because sometimes, it would make a noise when it started spinning. I tried an electrostatic one because I thought a silent one would be even better - and it was silent because it didn't work! So back to my favourite.! Unfortunately, I've forgotten when I bought the original one, but it I've certainly had it for several years (the eBay purchase history only goes back to 2017) and it has been used every night for several hours before bedtime.. I can't comment on the fragrances because I make up my own with a mixture of essential oils. It's a low-level whooshing noise, basically white noise, when I've left it on overnight. it's not disturbed my sleep. It does need the water changed and a quick clean - I do it every 2-3 days. Smelly Dogs!
Bought this item to help tackle the doggy smell in my little flat. Works perfectly. Flat is now smelling fresh and lovely. Not too noisy. Noisy but ......
I brought this back in Feb 2016 and am now back to buy another. I originally brought it as we were going to stay in a no smoking holiday let and we are smokers. We had to pay a £100 deposit which would be kept if we spoilt the place etc. We smoked in the kitchen and had this running with the anti tabacco frangrance. We got our deposit back! Since used in the bedroom and in the living room with different essential oils for different purposes (frankinsence in bedroom, lemon in living room). Now buying the second one so one for each room. No it isn't quiet but I can sleep with it running. EDIT: Unfortunately the second one came with the wrong plug so now I have the hassle to return :(Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for relaxation
The markdown was due to the noise it made and I know there are quieter ones to be had. However, all said and done, it does what it’s supposed to. I used it in my bedroom for a couple of hours before settling down for the night and the oil used for sleep aid worked very well, I was totally relaxed and went to sleep very quickly and woke feeling refreshed. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the noise. Bit like having the kettle on the boil all the time. Can't complain for the price, though, it does the job. Even with smoke. You have to clean the unit more if used for smoke. The essences are good but some folk reckon they're a bit pricey at £8.99 a wee bottle. A breath of fresh air
I have this little gem in my hall and use essential oils with it to freshen and clean the air. It works very well and is easy to maintain too - a quick wash every time you change the water. When it's switched on it isn't any louder than a soft hum in the distance and the calming blue light adds ambience to the environment. Not really good product
I'm sorry but the product definitely doesn't clean the air so without the essence you can put it to the bin. It even doesn't have a filter. It is very noisy so definitely not great to the bedroom.
