A gift for my wife (as instructed by 'She Who Must Be Obeyed) who is Ugandan and has very tight African curls. This replaces her traditional hair drier and comb routine. It has a very powerful (be careful with the highest heat setting) effect both drying and naturally styling/straitening the hair whilst maintaining the NATURAL HAIR characteristics. It does not look like chemically relaxed 'caucasion hair' but a high volume clearly African hair. Overall an excellent item and my better half highly recommends it A+
