Powers from a USB port or USB power adapter. Compact and good build quality. Useful to have if you cluster together Raspberry Pis as it allows you to make the most of the the new Raspberry Pi 3B Plus' faster network speeds and you can power it from the same multi-port USB power "brick" you likely power your Pis from.
I have an application for a gigabit ethernet switch that runs off 5 volts dc to work with a Raspberry Pi computer and a RavPower 4-port USB travel power supply.
This switch is just the ticket. No lost packets and plenty of throughput. USB power lead. Mounting slots on the base. Size similar to the other two items.
I have two of these Edimax switches - the earlier one was a little cheaper than the second one which included a euro mains adapter I didn't need. Stll very good value for a solid component.
