Having gone through 3 or so cheap shredders in the past, decided to have another look. Huge variety today. Wanted a more heavy duty unit so that home use should present little problem. This unit has a whopping 60 minute continuous operating time. I would envisage no more than 5/10 mins for my usage so should give me the trouble free use I want. ALL shredders NEVER shred the maximum number of sheets they claim, so for 16 sheets claimed for the 1600XCD, I have no problem with 5/6 sheets. It may well do 16, but no point in stressing to the maximum just because it will do it (that's my philosophy anyway!). Very quiet as advertised too. Can now keep up with all the unsolicited and sensitive document destruction I want! So far, so good!

The signs are very easy to follow. The sliding on/off is very good and it shreds the paper well. The only two points that is negative is that the sign shows the bin being full when it is because the paper comes up to a point in the bin giving the impression that it is full. Also when you need to wheel the bin it does not wheel straight ahead.
