I have LOTS of drip coffee pots...mostly vintage. I have vintage glass Chemex drip coffee makers, in several sizes, vintage Glasbake drip and vintage Flamex drip coffee makers. All make good coffee. I also have vintage aluminum and stainless drip coffee makers. I have vintage vacuum coffee makers, glass and stainless percolators. In other words, I have been collecting coffee pots and makers of all kinds for many years...and have used each and every one at least once. What drew me to this Bialetti glass coffee maker was the beautiful pitcher shape and the reusable filter. The filter works great all by itself, no paper liner is required...and it makes a fantastic cup of coffee, mild, smooth, light and bright...just like I like it....and the pitcher of finished coffee looks elegant on the table. Simple to make. It is easy to keep the coffee hot on my vintage Silex trivet warmer or pop it in the microwave for a minute. It is a delicious and beautiful way to make and serve coffee. I LOVE it!! I have a feeling that my search for the way to make a perfect pot of coffee has finally ended....ahhhhhhhh!!
Perfect for single cup. No aluminum parts to deal with. Open system so can use all kinds of coffee. Easy wash. Top part might even fit your favorite coffee cup - there is a ridge on bottom of top part so won"t slide off your cup. Many types of filters will work with this. Solid and heavy. Coffee still hot when you are done. Rinse clean or wipe the top part.
