Nice sight for the money
Worked well for me as a step up from my red dot. Something for a little more range, but not quite a full scope. It is lightweight metal, so far seems to be well put together. Mounts tightly, doesn't move at all. I don't know that it would handle the recoil of an actual firearm, it's great for airsoft though! Mine is for a 20mm rail, think there's one for the smaller rail also. Easy to sight in and seems to stay true. I have not used it for anything other than sighting in and a little back yard fun, however I didn't baby it. I wanted to be sure it was good. Looks good on the gun too!

Significant shortcomings
The material of the metal frame is of acceptable quality and thats about all it has going for it. When looking through the sight there is an overwhelming glare from the back glass and when combined with the functionless black tint added makes aiming through the sight on your target difficult at best. The brightness at maximum in broad daylight leaves much to be desired in red mode, its somewhat better in green mode. Vibrations are also a problem when trying to zero in your sight because the sight fails to hold its zero unless you want to permanently glue the adjustor knobs and completely abandon the ability to make adjustment changes in the future. I just hope that the eotech killflash I ordered will be able to eliminate or greatly reduce the back glare so that its useable in games, if not then I will go back to using real steel UTG red/green dot sights and just pay more for what i know works flawlessly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

551 sight glass is reflective and dark tinted
Can't hardly see throught the glass at night cos it's tinted so dark. Can't see thru it during the day cos all you see is your forehead reflecting off the mirrored lens. CRAZY!!!! Piece o junk sight. The glass is very dark, on a very sunny day if the sun is in your face it helps filter the sun but if you are not facing the sun the sight is too dark. Also the sight doesn’t adjust smoothly or have any audible clicks or indents. After 3 full 360 degree turns of the turret the red dot jumps but anything less the dot didn’t move at all. Why is the lens tinted?

Good for the money
Bought to mount on my m&p 15-22 looks great on it. Havent tested it at the range but so far so good. DOES NOT COME WITH BATTERIES so you might want to pick up a few when you order. Runs on 4 AG13/LR44
