Great Value Addition
Works as Described. No worries about leaving the Garage open accidentally. Garage alerts are at your fingertips. Garage control is in your hands as long as you are carrying a smart phone. It does get disconnected sometimes if there is an internet or Power outage, then you need to restart the Alladin Connect. smart App is good but can be better with more options to control. hope Aladdin establishes a partnership with the smart home devices/controls (especially Logitech Smart control remote which I use to control most of the smart devices at home). Garage door opener
Was extremely easy to install and use. It is a great product. Only problem I've had so far in the 2 weeks that I've had it is that it lost internet connection and it doesn't alert you to that. I didn't realize until the next day and the only way to reset it is to power down the unit. As soon as the unit was powered down and immediately plugged back in, it picked up the wifi signal again and worked like normal. This could be a big inconvenience if your not at home and unable to reset the unit to get wifi back. I have gray wifi signal and it is very close to the router. Overall, i would purchase this unit again because it is convenient and works great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

App needs work
The hardware and sensor are bar none the best I’ve tried.. the phone app just needs a slight update to be a five star product. After weeks of trial time this system sends you very accurate alerts of when the door is open or closed but the phone app lags behind.. you have to “refresh” the app screen by touching the “doors” screen and going back to the “home” screen to give you the accurate actual state of your garage door status. If they can correct this it would be an outstanding system and if they would also make it an Alexa enabled skill system update than it would be the best system on the market bar none.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I love my Aladdin Connect! It is easily one of my family’s favorite connected devices. It is easy to set up and use. It will let you know anytime your garage door is opened or closed ... we programmed ours to close the door, if left open after 2 hrs. I can open door from anywhere via my iPhone. Aladdin Smartphone Connect Garage Door Controller
Works as advertised and with the Overhead Door brand. I installed it for use with an Odyssey 1000 model garage door opener. I used to have a similar setup with a Chamberlain garage door opener using their MyQ system. That garage door opener needed to be replaced after nearly 20 years of use. The MyQ system has a faster response time and the app is able to login to the server quicker and get an open/close status on the garage door sooner than AladdinConnect. The Genie Aladdin was as described (open box new). Came in the orginal package with the orginal contents but box was definitely previously opened. Had a couple of slight issues at first because i couldn't register it.
