I bought my kiln for making jewellery with fused glass and enamels. This kiln is perfect for this kind of work and a number of pieces can be made at the same time. The two supplied shelves are very useful. I only use one at a time, allowing the other to be primed ready for the next firing. The kiln is light and easy to move around, it heats up very quickly and the peephole enables the operator to see what is happening without having to open the door which lowers the temperature in most kilns. For safety reasons remember to always wear green lens goggles when looking into a hot kiln to protect your eyes! The temperature display on my kiln is not very accurate, but I have done some test pieces to determine what the reading on the display should be for different processes. This is recommended anyway when you are using a kiln for the first time. The kiln is not programmable for ramp up speeds, holding times etc, but these are not necessary for firing pieces of about 2" or less anyway. If you wanted to you can do it manually but for plates, bowls and vases you would need to buy a much bigger kiln anyway.Read full review

This kiln was the best value for the size that was perfect for my purposes, Additionally and a realm plus was the fact that it was made in the UK with the technical and sales staff easily contactable, confirming that spares were available and delivery fast and flexible to take into account my specific requirements. It is replacing a kiln for which the burnt out element/panel is no longer available.
