This machine DOES 'exactly what it says on the tin' - with a host of symbols and options to cover pretty much EVERY eventuality!?... I take issue with the reviewer who claims that it "wastes half the tape" - since, as with most 'gadgets' of this type, IT HELPS IF YOU FULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!... The 'default' margin either side of the text is around ONE INCH - which, of course, CAN be wasteful!? If you look into the MENU, however, this can be reduced to FOUR MILLIMETRES, and there is also a 'set label length' function which can be used to minimise that further still should one be so inclined? (Start by setting the margins to 'Narrow' and noting the on-screen readout having entered your text - a few snapshots of the display will provide a reference here - and 'fine tune' things from there.) Use the memory function to store your most useful 'skeleton' settings, recall them for detail edits and print them off as 'a chain' to be cut up individually thereafter, and you should "waste" no media whatever - apart from perhaps an inch at the beginning and/or end of that print run, and IF needing to use the 'feed tape' facility to avoid 'cropping' your final label!?!!... There is an impressive range of useful media available for these versatile machines - and from a variety of sources. Cassettes can be 'swapped' at will: fabric for identifying items of clothing, heatshrink tube for electrical use (which is incidentally also ideal for camping equipment/stuffsack drawstrings, etc., etc.), and a huge variety of colours/backgrounds/textures for virtually everything else!?... All in all a tool which I would not now be without - but which DOES (in common with ANY piece of equipment having this level of capability/performance) require THOROUGH STUDY OF THE INSTRUCTIONS if "tape wastage" or other user 'muppetry' is to be avoided and its FULL potential realised?... Highly recommended!!!...Read full review

Good label printer but the rubber keyboard is like a magnet for dust & dirt & it's not that easy to clean, a lint free cloth still manages to stick bits to the rubber keys.

It produces good clear labels fairly easily. Once you have the hang of peeling the backing (which splits in two along the length of the tape) it is easy to remove the tape and apply the labels. It's a shame it does not come with the PSU (which you can buy seporately) included and it is also a shame you cannot reduce the waste blank tape before and after the printing - have sharp sissors to hand! Overall a good well-built product, but not perfect.

An excellent product for the price, works really well once you get to grips with all the options available. Prints clear easy to read labels. Would definitely recommend this for the home user that doesn't want to spend a fortune.
