MIG 130
I bought this machine wanting a cheap welder to start out with and do some repairs on my car. It's a small lightweight unit but it packs a punch. The only things I would advise is you'll need to buy a set of gauntlet gloves and a proper welding helmet. I bought a Zorax for around £30 and that works great. The welding does create a lot of spatter which is characteristic of flux core gasless welding so make sure to use some anti spatter spray or aluminium tape to cover those areas. I would recommend a welding apron too as it does like to throw off hot balls of molten metal from the wire. Maybe some higher quality wire would be a nice addition to this machine but honestly for the price it's fantastic and I had already expected to need some extra things to go with it. It came with a sealed 13 amp plug already installed which was very helpful. The welds seem strong, I have practiced welding captive nuts to some 3mm thick steel and installing a bolt into them, then hitting them hard with a hammer to see if they'll snap off, they won't so I'd say the welds are very strong. Would recommend this one as it goes down to 30 amps and all the way up to a quoted 130. Thanks.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Welding beginner.
Having never done any welding before i bought this for a particular job i needed to do, i also bought some small steel sheets to practice on first. Took a bit of getting used to having never welded before but it did the job i needed it for perfectly. Good bit of kit
