Variable power supply.
A very nice power supply for the money. It has accurate displays of voltage and current outputs (which I have tested) and a fan which is turned on via a thermistor mounted on a heat sink. This means the fan will not be running when it doesn't need to but will gradually turn on as the heat sink becomes warmer. This works very well although the manual states not to continuously run the supply above 60% of it full potential. I will never need 30 volts at 5 amps so this is not an issue for me but could be for some users as the heat sink will have to dissapate about 90 watts. This is a worse case senario. For me it is a good buy. No one could build one for this price. The price of the components alone would prove cost prohibitive. Versatile great value supply.
