Denamarin saves livers
Vet said my scottie had a cloudy liver and high enzymes. He sent us to specialist wih better ultrasound. Same conclusion. Cloudy but not cancer. They had no diagnosis. Neither anti fungals or antibiotics seemed appropriate to them. We discussed nutritional approach. Both vets said it couldn't hurt as they had no other options. I knew milk thistle was a liver rejuvinator and on another of my dogs in the past vet had sold us denamarin. I asked if it was ok to use this time. Yes they said. It is the same product on Amazon as it is from vet. No prescription required. And $40 a box cheaper. I have bought a box a month for 9 months. The dog has improved a lot. Check up at vet is next month. Denamarin is the dog formulation of milk thistle and Sam-e. It is a huge help when liver is compromised. I camnot think of any bad thing to say. The virdict is still out on this.
We purchased this on the advice of our Veterinarian. Our aging Aussie Blue heeler has suffered with horrible joint pain and has been on another medication that relieves his pain, but n the process damages his liver. Nutramax Denamarin is supposed to counter act this damage. We go back to the Vet in a month or so and if his numbers are down or have not elevated then I'll give the product a dozen stars if I could.

Great product!
I have been using this product for my pet and I highly recommend it for its purpose (for liver treatment). My vet had recommended it so I started using it. It is very effective and the only drawback is the pill size but one can easily oversee that. Once you get used to administering the pill, it becomes second nature. IT WORKS! Same as what I get from my Veterinarian
My dog's vet recommended this product to help support my older dog's liver functions. I wasn't sure how long she'd be on it but after several months, it was apparent she'd be on it for at least a year. My vet led me to think that it was a prescription - but it isn't! I got it here for much less (about 30% less) than through my vet. Plus it's delivered to my door! Helps people too
Denamarin tablets and also the chewable form seemed to have helped my dog regenerate a cranial never after a bad car accident. Keeps my dog alive.
In 2011 my 4 years old Doberman, Abby, was diagnosed with CAH (Chronic Acute Hepatitis). They put her on prescription food, medicine and Denamarin. They gave her 2 more years. She's 2 months from 12 now and doing well. She's still on the same food, meds and Denamarin. We tried a combination of supplements from GNC that were the same strength as the Denamarin once and lowering the dose of Denamarin another time. Both caused Abby to end up at the emergency vet hospital. I know that the Nutramax Denamarin works.
