Had the first edition of this book and have found the content really useful over the years. When I learnt that this new version had been brought out, there was no hesitation on buying it.

Find a Robert's book of Birds of South Africa (Ed 6 or 7), and then the shortfall will become plain.
Excellent bird identification book. Especially discerning subtle differences in confusion species. For example, Gulls, which all look alike. But aren't. Very recommended for birders.
