    Great Battery

Perfect working order, holds great charge, fuel gauge working well. Using it on my Makita xdt14z, it has not needed another charge yet, after light duty use. Hopefully it works for many years to come, with good lithium-ion battery maintenance practice. Plus, I believe all the cells are balanced with each other, so I won't get the problems that the 1830 (non-b) has with the computer controls hooked up to only one cell.

  • Most critical review

    Time will tell!

Need more time to review as battery has only been through a few cycles. Looks similar to a Makita Original Battery but looks like a knock-off to me. Looks like a good quality, feels like good quality, So far, so good.

  • So far so good

This battery attaches properly, and functions properly with all of my Makita drills. I bought two replacement batteries, and they are brand new, so can’t speak of their longevity, at this point. The previous Makita batteries lasted about three years. There are lots of YouTube videos of how to revive a dead battery, which did not work on any of my previous dead batteries. I believe the main problem is that the computer chips built-in to the batteries, and the Makita chargers, are designed to only allow a certain number of charges and/or longevity of the battery, and then they shut down. Also, even if you do find a way to revive a dead lithium ion battery, you have to seriously worry about fire.

  • OEM Battery at good price, with prompt delivery

I scoured all the batteries until I was sure I was ordering batteries manufactured by Makita (there are many from Asia). We have two combo sets (4 tools) that use these batteries and they are getting more difficult to find. Over years we have ordered many batteries, so we know value. These were priced well and we received them earlier than expected.

  • Good buy but doesn’t last

Batteries are built good but they don’t hold a candle to the actual makita batteries from depot or more expensive ones off eBay or amazon. If u are using these to work everyday spend more and get more. These are good back ups or flashlight batteries but for drills abs saws they won’t last. I’m a construction company owner and they’ll get used but only in the radio or flashlight. Otherwise I’ll b ordering better ones. Hope this helps for future purchases

  • Are they 162 Ah & Makita equivalent? Not my experience.

Each battery of two batteries initially accepted about 65 Wh charge. Typically, batteries aren’t shipped fully charged. My chargers worked fine, so far so good. After discharge they they both generated an error fault message on charger. After a day or so one battery did charge up successfully. However, it only took 99 Wh to charge, which is far short of the specified 162 Wh (9Ah x 18V = 162). A typical Makita 6 Ah battery typically accepts well over 106 to 125 watt hours during a charge cycle. So, one battery failed completely after one use and one battery did eventually charge, but did not meet specifications. Power consumption during charging should add up to each battery taking well over the specs of 162 watt hours. Why carry the extra weight of 15 18650's if they contain less energy than a Makita 6Ah with 5 less cells?

  • Makita Lithium Battery Heavier than expected

Battery is heavier than my old smaller one. Knew it would be going in, but as I get older the weight becomes an item. My projects get smaller as I age and probably should have ordered the smaller battery - but oh well.

  • Great price, accuate product description and functional. Thanks very much

After having both of my original batteries have internal circuit board failures, unable to use the charger, had to revert to using my RC Car battery charger, i found this deal. Very happy with the product, the price and overall buying experience. Thanks

  • Look and feel cheap

These batteries look and feel cheaper then other knockoff brands. Probably won’t be buying any more. The 6 amp hour is more a 4 amp hour when compared to the makita oem 6 amp hour. But you get what you pay for, they work fine
