Great value for an self winding wall mount reel!
I installed this item in my garage wall. Absolutely love the it and it is a great option for a value priced reel. It is sturdy and I love the manual hose guide to help get the hose even when you are reeling it in. The shelf is also a nice plus! I had an automatic one prior and did not like the water flowing on my garage floor whenever I reeled it in and it was too slow. This one is perfect if you are looking for a garage install since it is 16" wide which aligns with the stud width. Definitely would recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bad Reel
I purchased this reel 8 months ago and it lasted a couple months with a repair in the mean time. Its a nice looking unit but does not hold up well at the mounting areas on top, It breaks there. I have a hundred foot hose 5/8 and did not abuse it at all. Just over a few weeks of being on I noticed it tearing. So I tried to fix it but within a week or so the other side tore and we took it down. Going to get a steel one for sure. Very disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK, but.....
I think it's the best way to store the traditional hose. I had the same one that was a few years old. They all have a weak wall mounting system. I had to add more mounting holes to make it more secure. I'm not happy with what I did. I would have liked to have a stronger upper mounting than just two spots at the top corners. A 100 foot hose filled with water and rolled up on the reel is just too much for two screws.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
