Excellent replacement (upgraded) wiring harness section
Excellent product to overcome a 'design fault' where the cables are flexed by the repeated opening/closing of the rear hatch/tailgate. 'Cheap' OEM cable insulation stiffens in colder weather, eventually cracking and fracturing of the cable(s) ensued. I would ask that the supplier mentions that the end grommets, part of the flexible boot are of different diameters..... Yes I fitted it the wrong way round! Doh!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easier than expected
Having lived with a number plate lamp warning for a couple of months, I tracked it down to a poor connection where the cables pass from the car body to the tailgate. The original wiring had gone brittle and failed with the constant flexing. This kit gives enough cable to make off the connections and then feed the splices back into the body and tailgate. The cables are silicone insulated, so much more flexible than the original. There are no instructions, simply a colour matching chart. Perfect repair for Fiat 500 tailgate loom.
If you have a Fiat 500 with faulty tailgate latch or no number plate lights you need this. This repair loom splices into the existing loom, all the connectors are on the loom, including rear wash hose. Wire colour code supplied with kit. A handy DIYer will complete job in an hour or so. Better than original
Cable of good quality -definite upgrade on the original cable. It will last longer than the original fitment. Fiat 500 Tailgate Harness
Very good for the job it was designed to do. It is ready to go and saves a lot of heartache resolving all the issues once installed. One issue to be aware of is that the bigger crimps have a very hard casing and I was struggling to fully crimp some of them even with a quality ratchet crimper. Suspect that they have been crimped with a machine. The cable colours do not match but that is not an issue.
