sinus relief without steroids
I have chronic sinus problems that can be somewhat relieved by using various products. The most highly recommended is a Neti Pot, which is a device that resembles a small "Aladdin's Lamp" and facilitates flushing the sinus with warm saline solution. The other products are "Afrin" type agents (which doctors hate because they have a rebound effect and contribute to high blood pressure), cortisone sprays (which work but have side effects for me) and this product, Nasalcrom. The Nasalcrom is quite effective and has zero side effects. It alone is not enough sometimes, but it can be used without worry of interference with other products. It's especially useful when pollen is high.
I do not use it as frequently as they recommend, just as a remedy when I get stuffed up. It might be worth trying that, however. The directions advise using it several time daily. This just seems a bit inconvenient and I'm too cheap.
