I have upgraded from an OP3, so this is a significant leap forward in technology. First impressions are that it s HEAVY. The big glass screen is huge compared to the OP3. And the thickness is a significant contribution to its weight. Secondly, this thing is juicy. If you are expecting a full day from one charge, you are going to be shocked. Just using the phone with all the bling turned on, expect about 7 hours before you will need a power supply. Keeping the bling to a minimum, and it will easily give 14 hours on one full charge. Thirdly, usage. This phone is awesome. And it only gets better if you choose to get the OP 8 or 9. The Oxygen OS takes a while to get used to, compared to generic Android software. It is very intuitive and practical. The settings are easy to implement or change. The cameras are great (not perfect, but better than most) and image handling is sublime. Video is well supported with up to 4k available. But those files are HUGE. Phone cases are an issue. Make sure you get the right one for the model of your phone as there are subtle differences between models such as the McLaren, the 7, the 7 pro and the 7T. Also on a side note, if you buy the clear front and back magnetic cases, to show off the luxurious finish to your OP7x , be aware that the aluminium edges will kill your phone's ability to communicate with the network. Don't know why, but it does. Software from the app store is plentiful and as yet, have not had any issues with anything I have tried. If it is not compatible, the Oxygen OS will quickly advise the the app is not compatible with the phone. So, after all that... It's great. BIG. But great. That screen is huge. But it comes with a small but niggly design fault. Which may be a deal breaker for some. It doesn't have "square" corners. They are rounded. And a LOT of apps and adverts put the little X to close the app or advert right up on the corner. And they can be a real pain to get to because of the rounded corners. And that is about it. 9 out of 10. Yes I am happy with my purchase. It works just fine. If I broke it, would I buy another? Yes, I would. Or the 8 or 9 if finances stretch. I LIKE the OnePlus product. It gets the job done.
