You get what you pay for

This is a cheap circular saw, it reflects the price paid - the build quality is not brilliant, but it was cheap and so this was expected. That said, it cuts wood which is why I purchased it. It probably will not last as long as my previous saw, but I went for the cheap option as I only use the saw occasionally. Provided it gives me a few years of service this has done the job, if it doesn’t then I shouldn’t have gone for the cheap end of the market. Time will tell.

    Ok for the money

If you think that this saw will rip up trees you will be disappointed It didn’t like cutting the fence posts that i put in front of it so I tried my battery Makita and that went through it like a knife through hot butter Having said that its ok for the money and works ok on smaller bits of timber As I intend to use it as a table saw so it should be ok for that

  • Awesome circular saw!

Heavier than I anticipated, but it cuts straighter than the last one I had due to it's added weight. Excellent power tool, and great value too!

  • Great product at a really good price

This hand held circular saw is an excellent addition to my DIY equipment. It performs really well on the different types of wood. I purchased it to replace a well loved saw and It is as good as the more expensive ones.

  • Great DIY tool - easy to use.

An excellent purchase that is really easy to use. It provides a good, fast, cutting platform and a safety-first guard & blade cover. The only disadvantage is that there is no box/case provided and the unit is an awkward shape for safely storing/stacking without this. I purchased a "large 33cm Tool Bag DIY Kinzo" on Ebay (£9.99) to make up for this.

  • Powerful circular saw, but lacking instructions

This is basically a very good circular saw, powerful for its size; however, there are a couple of problems: (a) the lack of an instructional booklet - the latter would have been really useful, especially for a first-time circular saw owner like me; (b) the fact that the guard seems to slip very easily - some sort of catch to hold it in place would have been greatly appreciated.

  • This is a sore with plenty of power.

I bought for my son . Put it on a board to make a saw Bench works very well. Very good quality blade cuts.

  • Inexpensive circular saw

It's good for the money. Not refined but sturdy. Good for occasional DIY. Reckon once I've used it 3 or 4 more times its paid for itself. It's quite a heavy bit of kit compared to many. So dont buy one for grandma. I've no idea how reliable these are. Mine came with spare motor brushes.

  • Good value product for DIY

Only used it twice so far, Both times I was ripping down a 2 metre length of 3x2 timber. It took me 10 minutes to do something that used to take all day when I did it by hand. It's not excessively noisy and when used with the rip fence it cuts straight. It is easy to use and as safe as they could bake it with a double action switch system. The saw cannot be locked on so it is not possible to use it as a table mounted saw,

  • Great tool

Not for a tradesman using it everyday but for my DIY (and I do a lot) it is perfect for my needs. Easy to handle and all the usual options for angles and depths you would expect from a pro tool but finished for a more modest budget. Great!!
