Aquaman is off the back burner
Not the greatest in the DC superhero range, but with plenty of high quality CGI and reasonable character creation it's worth a watch. Mamoa gives a surprisingly layered performance at times which proves there's an actor under all the beefcake. The supporting cast do a professional job and contribute seriously to making the storyline believable. As for the character of Aquaman himself, he's always been on the back burner of DC's pantheon of heroes but this film has provided this hero with a sound foundation for going forward.
