Bought the 2020 edition to replace my '13 book. This version is not as good as the old one. Even with making allowances for the pandemic (again), the content is less detailed and, less attractively presented. There are fewer photographs of the pubs, and quite a few entries lack even the pictograms, (beer mug, bed, dog, flower etc.) that provide the basic information. The pub descriptions in some cases would lead one to assume that the compilers had simply phoned in the report, giving only the skimpiest of generalisations. But the big deal-breaker for us was the absence of MAPS! It's essential to be able to look at a map of an unfamiliar area to see where the pubs are situated. I'm sorry I spent the money on the AA 2020 Good Pub Guide.
