This little Game Changer!
I've had the larger version of the Sonic Stomp for years and found it an invaluable part of getting quality tone out of my rig. It's an always on box for me but I needed to make some room on my pedalboard and the Sonic Stomp is absolutely the last pedal I was going to remove but I wasn't sure if the mini version would give me the same thing as the older larger box? I read some reviews and thought it was worth the gamble so I sold my larger Sonic Stomp and got the mini version. It turns out the mini was just as awesome in every way just in a much smaller footprint. If you have never tried this amazing pedal you will be surprised at how much better everything you play sounds! Chords sparkle and single notes are even more pronounced! What a difference!
This thing makes a huge difference in overall clarity and tone. I have a Squier Bullet strat and a Line 6 Spider amp. I kept fiddling with knob after knob and setting after setting trying to get the sound I was looking for. That didn't really happen until I bought this on the recommendations of the guitar and bass players in my band (I'm a singer trying to become a rhythm guitar player too). I'm glad I listened. It really improved the sound. Especially since I'm not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on top of the line equipment (I live in tax greedy Connecticut and I have a wife and two teenage kids, for God's sake!). I paid $65 for this, described as open-box but it sure looked brand new. Even the box and packaging inside looked like it had never been touched. Overall, it was a smart, sound-improving, cost-effective purchase that I would highly recommend. Note: be aware that it did not come with an 9 Volt AC power cord. Get the right model for you
NOTE: this is NOT BATTERY OPERATED, there is no battery compartment. The slightly larger version of this product is the one that can take a battery. NOTE: The product may not come with an AC adapter, so check the listing and get one if it doesn't. 9V, 200 mA, center is negative (I had a tough time finding this info.) Yes, it's expensive, but it can make a significant difference in sound IF you understand it. Learn about why it works and understand that it usually only requires a small amount of the "process" dial; you'll probably never have a good reason to turn it very far up. The "Lo Contour" may not be of any use. You just have to experiment. Great little pedal
I love the sonic maximizer pedals. Originally I had the larger version, but sold it to get this and free up space on my pedalboard. I can't really tell a difference... which is always the question when you buy a mini pedal- does it pack the same punch as the normal size? But yeah, it's an awesome pedal. Everyone should have one. At the end of my guitar chain I have this then an MXR 10 band EQ. They make a world of difference. My guitar sounds crystal clear, and still full & bassy. BBE Sonic Stomp: Powerful Sound In A Small Package!
I have been playing bass guitar professionally for over 40 years and have always wanted to add a BBE Sonic Maximizer to my sound. Mystery and Magic!
Amazing effect. It doesn't really alter or color the actual tone - it just makes it way more "present" across the scales. I took out my EQ, which was noisy, and replaced it with the Sonic Stomp. Huge improvement on my bass. It sounds so good to me that it actually makes me play better. Probably a higher confidence factor. It's a weird effect - it's like it finds all that is good about your sound and makes it stand out above the mud. Obviously it's my new "always on" effect. Won't make you play better bit it will improve your sound

Get it, don’t regret it…
I have always loved sonic maximizers, had one of original stomps before, sold it and regretted not long after. Decided to pull the trigger and it has transformed my rig. BBE MS-92 replaces the BBE 882i
Wanted to ditch the need for the rack with the BBE 882i. This was a good replacement and takes little space on the pedal board. Both the 882i and the MS-92 improve the quality of the final sound. I place the MS-92 at the very end of the effects chain just before going into the Effects Return on the amp. Black magic sonic witchcraft in a box
A really hard-to-define effect, it just makes chunky heavy riffs better. There's much speculation and little factual information as to what this actually does, but though BBE keeps the specifics to it's self, you can hear the results. We had the rack-mount equivalent in our PA for years, and that's magic too.
