New Garador 4 F Spring
After research on web ordered new spring from Fenland. Order despatched same day and received by Dpd within a couple of days. Excellent communication from both supplier and Dpd. Installation instructions not the best. Could do with greater detail and pictures linked to on-line video. Seem to do the job well - but how long will they last?
The springs are significantly cheaper than Garador charge for replacements, so value-wise they get a positive response. They come well packaged and protected, and are relatively straightforward to fix as replacements for broken springs. Instructions are not comprehensive, and could be improved. Delivery time was brilliant via DHL. Who knows about the quality of the product - that can only be judged if they last a reasonable period of time - say 20 + years. Works well
Easy enough to fit (when you know how). Instructions not very clear but it is easy enough when you work it out. Old spring was broken so couldn’t see how it was located, checked with spring on other side of door helped fitting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Springs Always the break
I had to replace a broken spring for the GARADOR Mk4 / F SPRING No 7 after 10 yrs, It took 15 mins, My best advice is tolower the door then pull the spring until it extends 20cm and place a molegrib to clamp it, Put it in place add the hook and then remove the clamp, Raise the door when it nears the top hand pull the spring and place it in the grove and thats it

Instructions and illustrations are poor.
Instructions are poor and so are the illustrations. I found it was necessary to pretention the inner spring to allow more of it to feed up under the garaged door arm. It is absolutely not the fault of the supplier but the nylon collar is the weak point. It breaks if the spring gets stuck due to lack of greasing .
