Great machine - simple to use and value for money! Ideal beginners machine!
I am a complete novice when it comes to using a sewing machine - my Husband can verify this!! This machine offers excellent value for money for someone like me who did not want a complicated or a too expensive sewing machine. It arrived very well packaged 48 hours earlier than expected which was great! The instructions were relatively easy to follow - bearing in mind I am not an expert .... and I was delighted to be sewing on it within an hour of it's arrival. I am currently making jewellery pouches for necklaces and bracelets I make for my 2 sponsored charities and I am really pleased with quality and choice of stitching from this machine. The light is great too. I found that changing the spool was a little fiddly but that is the only issue so far - but thanks to assistance from my engineering and more patient Husband - this is not a real issue! Not too heavy, sews well, threads easily.
I have never heard of an Austin sewing machine before and because of it's price and features I decided to purchase it. The machine has a variety of stitches to choose from, is not too heavy, sews well, is not too noisey and the instructions are easy to follow. Bought this for the squaw as her old Toyota sewing machine finally gave up. Never heard of this brand. Wife raves about it. It does everything she wants and she does a lot of sewing. Made in Vietnam. Gret, lightweight machine with everything a sewer needs
