Makes cutting sheet metal easy Yes I tried it on some 2mm sheet even though it only does 1.6 It did it with ease and I thought the worst is the die and punch will break I took my time so it had an easy time Cut about 20 metres in 2mm gently and lots of 1.5mm Its Makita so it will be fine and it did not even struggle. I have sympathy for my tools so did not force it through Cant remember where I put my tin snips lol. Don't need them only for the odd few tight spots Great kit would of preferred battery cordless but too expensive for my needs even though its ore practical to have no lead Plus side is the 240 wont go flat just when you need it most
