Compelling?
The review questions asked if this book was compelling and I had to stop and think about this. I mean, it's great to have on a job site when doing electrical work. The book is full of information on an as needed basis if not sure of something. . If you're in the electrical trade then this book will serve you well. I've been in this trade for 27 years and these books have helped in plenty of questions I needed answered. Recommended to anyone interested in formulas, motor control, conduit fill, whatever you need to pass inspection and increase your knowledge. One thing about this trade is you'll never know everything there is to know about electrical due to the industry it serves. It is vast and challenging. Guide that's only good for beginners or novices. Worthless for an electrical engineer, even one who graduated over 30 years ago.
Way back when I was in college, I remember hearing about Ugly's Electrical References. I was on an engineering site and someone recommended this to me. For me, it's not very usable, since I'm an electrical engineer and I know about the topics in this guide. I wouldn't recommend this to any electrical engineer, because if he graduated, he'll know everything in this guide. Who is this for? Maybe for a layman or someone who wants to learn about electrical terms and what they mean.
