It can be applied direct to rust with no primer or undercoat and is touch dry in 1 hour, recoatable in 2 hours. This water-based formulation is also odourless and Colourlock technology prevents fading.

Very very poor coverage
Hammertoe as a brand does exactly what it says . Normally that is. This paint covers very very poorly . It’s hard to believe it comes from the hammertoe family . Do not buy it’s awful and you will be stuck with it with no use . Sorry hammerite the other paints are brilliant .

Covers well dries quickly
Have used the paint on a small project (rusty) it covers well after two coats and dries quick. I will be coating a large metal outdoor table soon so am hopeful of a good job.

Metal garden furniture looks like new!
