Easy to use and effective
I like the simple design that looks like no other grinder: looks more like a jar. This is of course highly subjective. The large size of the grinding wheel at the top means ease of turning. The large clear glass of the container means very easy to see the volume of salt and pepper left and easy to fill with fresh salt or pepper. I've only had it for a few days during which it seems to grind well and the coarseness easily and effectively adjustable, something I find missing in a lot of grinders on the market. It remains to be seen how long lasting the grinder is as most I've tried in the past did not last long. The grinder is ceramic and should last long without maintenance or rusting if well made. decent value item with large capacity
I wanted a value set for home and that's what these are, but I was slightly disappointed. The metal around one rim was sticking up and caught my finger but I was able to snip it with scissors. The cap of one fits easier than the other. However they have a good / large capacity. They are adjustable for coarse or fine grinding and are working well so far. This pair of grinders are sturdy and well designed. They have a wide neck which makes filling them simple, and infinitely adjustable grind, from powder to coarse at the turn of a finger nut. The ceramic 'wheels' chew through Rock salt and pepper corns with extreme ease. The best dial-up coarse or fine mechanism I have come across. The salt comes out practically dust (I don't use a lot of pepper, so can't really comment.) We had traditional wooden salt and pepper mills that couldn't be adjusted easily. Not so with these and it really is a doddle to change the size of the output. Does what it says well on the tin.
Inexpensive yet quality, feels solid to hold and use and ceramic in appearance too grinder mechanics. Does NOT come with chrome holder pictured but nonetheless still great value. Taller than some expected unless you read the measurements, they also load easily with pepper and salt. One last thing the grinding courseness is completely linear, not stepped 1 to 5 positions.
