Is Sabrent following Apple with none standard leads? Great product but buyer beware of the TB3 lead
It's Sabrent, what more can be said! But that said, I am a little disappointed with this drive. Not in it's operation, reliability or stability, but in the manner Sabrent have created a special molded thunderbolt 3 cable. You cannot use a standard Thunderbolt 3 cable as it will not fit due to the cable plastic molded plug being to big to fit into the thunderbolt 3 socket on this single drive unit. The dual drive unit is perfect that will take any standard TB3 lead, but this single unit will only work with the supplied VERY SHORT TB3 lead. Come on Sabrent, you could have widened the slot when manufacturing the case to accept any standard Thunderbolt 3 lead... I will not be buying any more of the single units because of this. but the dual units are ace....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
