"Taking me Back to my Childhood"
I was raised in the 80's, and the classic arcade game, Pac-Man was an amazing and an instant hit game! Fortunately, Hanna-Barbera had the foresight to create a Saturday morning cartoon series based on the popular video arcade game. I enjoyed watching "The Pac-Man Show" on ABC every Saturday morning! The cartoon was colorful, vibrant, and fun. My favorite episodes were the ones that involved Pac-Man's adorable orb-shaped pets-his lovable dog Chomp-Chomp; and Sour Puss; his sly cat. Campy, odd, choppy, and nonsensical but fun to look at with friends.
This show is something of a guilty pleasure of mine. Compared to the... ghostly adventures show I prefer watching this incarnation of Pac-Man since there's no highly convoluted plot involved but this show still contains many animation errors, like any other popular cartoon around the 80s. It's insanely glaring to point out. Although I can still never find out why Blinky himself isn't the leader of the Ghost and is characterized as a cowardly sniveling wuss, Clyde is the hot-blooded and dominant boss of the group, and Pinky is being depicted as a male even though she's clearly female in the games or why they're called Ghost "Monsters" in the show (or why they turn purple instead of blue when Pac-Man eats a Power Pellet). Nonetheless I enjoy looking at the episodes despite the oddball humor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
